Behavior Stabilization and Restorative Services

The Timber Ridge Ranch NeuroRestorative® Services Behavior Program provides a safe, structured environment where individuals with behavioral deficits resulting from acquired brain injury can relearn adaptive behaviors and life skills. Clients learn to interact with families, friends and communities while regaining skills necessary for maximum independence in the least restrictive environment.

Our behavior program strives to replace maladaptive behaviors with alternative behaviors. Root causes of maladaptive behaviors are the focus of our behavioral assessment. Our Interdisciplinary Behavioral Acquisition System integrates behavioral strategies with other specialized services. Adaptive behaviors are reinforced across all disciplines and by all staff 24 hours a day.

Individualized Treatment

Upon admission, each client receives a comprehensive assessment identifying behavioral deficits and abilities. Specific therapeutic goals and a treatment plan are developed to determine the sequence for addressing those identified skills. Treatment teams may include professionals from the following disciplines:

Psychology Speech-Language Pathology
Neuropsychology Social Work
Behavior Analysis Education
Case Management Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy Nursing

Appropriate Referrals

Timber Ridge Ranch NeuroRestorative® Services provides a continuum of programmatic structure enabling clients to progress through increasingly less structured environments with the final goal of adapting to their projected discharge setting. Clients who are ages 5 and older may enter the Behavioral Program at various levels of functioning including:

  • Individuals who are consistently disoriented, agitated, or aggressive. Programs are designed to provide a highly structured and supervised, low-stimulus retraining environment.
  • Individuals who are consistently uncooperative and/or exhibiting other mild inappropriate behavior. Programs are designed to allow clients to gain increased responsibilities which encourage their independent participation in therapy sessions and community activities.
